Seriawan is caused by the fungus Candida albicans
and usually occurs after the mother or baby is taking antibiotics because the
fungus tends to grow after the bacteria inside the body are destroyed. [1] If
the breastfeeding mother has a fungus or fungal infection of the nipple while
at the same time the infant is also suffering from a thrush, it is important to
treat both because the mother can transfer fungal infections to the baby during
breastfeeding. [2] In most cases, the sprue is considered harmless because the
disease itself is easily treated at home and often heals without medication.
But severe cases can cause dehydration and fever (rare), and should be treated
by a doctor immediately. Knowing how to recognize the signs of a thriller
problem, as well as how to deal with mild cases at home, can help keep the baby
happy and healthy.
1.Consult a pediatrician before you try natural or
home remedies. The doctor can confirm the diagnosis and give you a professional
medical opinion about the best treatment for the baby. Many home remedies to
heal the seriawan look safe, but keep in mind that the baby's digestive and
immune systems are still fairly rudimentary, and pediatricians may ask you to
take caution.
2. Give acidophilus to the baby.
Acidophilus is a bacterium commonly found in a healthy digestive tract in
powder form. Mushrooms and gastrointestinal bacteria balance each other in the
human body. Often taking antibiotics or stricken with a thyroid may cause a
spike in the growth of the fungus. Eating acidophilus can help reduce the
growth of fungi and treat infant causes in infants. [3]Make a paste by mixing
acidophilus powder with clean water or breast milk. [4]Rub the paste into the
baby's mouth once a day until the seriawan recovers. [5]You can also add a
teaspoon of acidophilus powder to formula or breast milk if the baby is
breastfed with a bottle. Give acidophilus once a day until the seriawan
recovers. [6]
3. Try yoghurt. If the child is able
to swallow yoghurt, the pediatrician may suggest you to add lactobacilli
yoghurt without adding sugar to the child's diet. It works the same way as
achidophilus, by balancing the fungal population in the child's
gastrointestinal tract. [7]If the child is not old enough to swallow yoghurt,
try rubbing it into an area with a sweatshirt with a clean cotton swab. Use a
little yoghurt and watch the child carefully to make sure he does not choke
yoghurt. [8]
4. Use red grapefruit seed extract
(GSE). Red grapefruit grapefruit extract, when mixed with distilled water and
smeared daily can help treat symptoms of the sprains in some children. [9]Mix
10 drops of GSE into 30 ml of distilled water. Some doctors believe that
antibacterial treatment performed on PAM water can reduce the efficiency of
GSE. [10]Use a clean cotton swab to rub the GSE mixture into the child's mouth
every hour during his waking hours. [11]Wipe the child's mouth before feeding.
This step can reduce the bitterness associated with suckling when he suffers
from a spasm, and can help him get back to his normal eating schedule. [12]If
the spleen does not improve significantly after two days of treatment, you may
try to increase the concentration of the GSE mixture by dissolving 15 to 20
drops of GSE into 30 ml of distilled water versus the starting dose of 10
drops. [13]
5. Use pure coconut oil (first
squeeze). Coconut oil contains caprylic acid which can help combat fungal infections
causing the thrush. [14]Use a clean cotton swab to apply coconut oil to an area
that has a thrush. [15]Consult a pediatrician before trying coconut oil because
some children may be allergic to coconut oil.
6. Make a baking soda paste. Paste
baking soda can help treat the sprain in the sick place, and can be used on the
nipple (if the baby is breastfeeding) and in the child's mouth. [16]Mix one
teaspoon baking soda with 235 ml of water. [17]Apply the pasta to the baby's
mouth with a clean cotton swab.
7. Try salt water solution. Mix ½
teaspoon salt into a cup of warm water. [18] Then apply the solution to the
mouth part of the seriawan using a clean cotton swab.
